Medifast, a “fast, safe, and effective weight loss program recommended by 20,000 doctors since 1980,” is one of those super low-calorie weight loss programs. Oh, but the doc oversees your progress so it’s “safe.” Kind of like chemotherapy. Speaking of which, the inspiration for this post came from my mother, who I’m staying with for a few weeks here in “Nashvegas.” Yesterday she went to have her hair done down at the local beauty joint, and came back excited to tell me what she heard down at the salon.
