Diet Recovery 2 Paperback

DR2-Best3D

Recently hailed as being “filled with good information, interspersed with pornography and bad language” – your favorite book, Diet Recovery 2, is now available in paperback through Amazon.  It’s currently going for $8.28, but will rise to $12-13 next week, so get it while the gettin’s good. Be warned that it does indeed show a woman’s breasts in a fuzzy, low-quality image to demonstrate breast enlargement, among other things, with an actual decrease in body fatness (probably should have shown this by requesting that she send in pics wearing a sweater).  It also contains roughly the same amount of swear words as the kids movie The Goonies (yes, I counted).  It’s extremely offensive and something no mature person should ever consider reading.  It even has jokes in it and some sexual innuendo with discussion of how metabolism… Read more »

The Peat Whisperer Whispers Paleo

Posted

dannyroddy

By: Danny Roddy; author of The Peat Whisperer Matt Stone and I have a lot in common: we both hate that sleepy-eyed bozo from Coldplay, we both had a crush on Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes from TLC, and we both agree that not since Wiene’s ‘The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari’ has there been a film as important as Bay’s ‘Transformers II: Revenge of The Fallen.’ In addition to the above, we were both convinced early on that the metabolic rate (as defined by body temperature and pulse) was a compelling factor in health. Well, Matt was convinced before I was, and Dude probably saved my life by introducing me to the potato, but I digress. I credit Matt for turning me onto the relationship between the metabolic rate, the thyroid… Read more »

Causes Of Hypothyroidism & Hypothyroid Diet Treatment

Posted

Most overweight people, when seeing all the “easy ways to lose weight fast – watch the fat just melt off and stay fit forever!” feel like their failures in dieting are due to a bum thyroid gland.  Well, sort of. The thyroid gland is the primary conductor of the metabolic rate.  The metabolic rate is best described as being the amount of calories your body uses for basic function.  The bulk of the calories that you have available are used to fuel the organs and muscles.  They are active tissues that do work and require energy to do their jobs. So you’re hypothyroid. You have a slow metabolism. Shouldn’t you just be eating a low-calorie hypothyroid diet of lettuce leaves and alfalfa sprouts? I don’t think so. If you eat… Read more »

Hypothyroid Face

hypothyroid face

The before and after pictures shared by Korg Kcuf in the last post on low-carb hypothyroidism reminded me of the stunning before and after hypothyroid treatment pictures I once came across.  Fortunately, I have found these photos online, and they do show some remarkable changes in facial appearance. By Matt Stone You often hear this swollen facial appearance referred to as “carbo face,” which is one of the more retarded things I’ve ever heard.  If anything, this should be called “Eskimo face,” as the native Eskimo had perhaps the puffiest and roundest faces on earth. You can even see telltale signs of facial myxedema in this young Eskimo mother, with quite a bit of fluid gathering below and above the eyes.  And this is someone who is incredibly well-adapted and epigenetically-programmed to a diet high in meat and fat… Read more »

Ray Peat – Broda Barnes

Posted

“One of my recurring objects of thought has been the slowness with which raw knowledge is assimilated. For example, I have been thinking about Broda Barnes’s work on the prevention of heart disease with thyroid extract. He did solve much of ‘the riddle of heart attacks,’ but recent statements by the Heart Association show that the dominant forces in the health business haven’t learned anything at all from his work, which he began 50 years ago. His work is clearly presented, not hard to understand, and it is scientifically so sound that no one challenges it, at least not on the scientific level. It is ignored, rejected by people who choose not to be bothered to read it. How many people have died from heart disease, since his work first… Read more »

Janie Bowthorpe Fail

Posted

Recently I contacted the site host of Stop the Thyroid Madness (and author of a book by the same title) Janie Bowthorpe.  I’ve been trying to explain to Janie what’s been taking place at http://www.180degreehealth.com/ for quite some time, as I’ve seen the diet and lifestyle manipulation outlined in Diet Recovery about how to RAISE YOUR METABOLISM,repeatedly outperform thyroid medication for raising low body temperatures. Since the low body temperature was the primary diagnosis tool used by Broda Barnes and his modern-day followers Mark Starr and Stephen Langer – the world’s leading advocates of the type of thyroid therapy championed by Janie’s site, I’ve been nothing short of relentlessly eager to share what is truly a groundbreaking and pivotal nutrition/lifestyle discovery (although it’s not recognized as such by an any “authority”). Of course, Janie just brushed it off, not… Read more »

The Raw Milk Diet

Posted

Alright, I’m bummed to be doing this “extreme” diet.  I have no need to take such drastic measures, and to be honest, the last serious diet (2 weeks vegan) took a toll like no diet has in a long while.  But it’s time to check it out, and with my girlfriend under the knife as I type this in a hospital lobby (jaw surgery – I’m very excited to write about some of the things the docs have said to her so far, like “wow, 98.6!  We don’t see that very often”), it seems like the most appropriate time there will ever be to try a liquid-only diet.  Poor Aurora’s gonna be on liquids-only for up to 12 weeks.  Surely I can give milk 4. Plus I was never breast… Read more »

180DegreeHealth Hot Chicks Club

Posted

Recently I joked around about starting a “180 Hot Chicks Club” designated for the first 180 women who managed to hit a basal axillary temperature (without fever) of 99 degrees F or higher on a Vicks digital thermometer.  First 180 members will receive a free t-shirt (once there are 180 members)! Okay, that t-shirt may be an empty promise.  However, if there really were 180 girls hitting that temperature following my general ‘rest and overfeed’ recommendation for achieving metabolic healing (via HED/RRARF or the milk diet and “chillaxin’”), I probably would take the time and effort to create a t-shirt for that.  That would be pretty outrageous. It is official by the way.  There are now 3 prominent members of the 180 Hot Chicks Club… 1) Recent inductee Kathy C. has gone from the low-97′s to 99 in… Read more »

Weekly Video Roundup

Posted

Hey guess what?  I’m a little tired of writing right now.  I was going to try to bust out the free eBook as promised at the mother site (intended to be the overfeeding Bible with the working title:  RRARF!  Medical Applications of Overfeeding), but that’s shaping up to be a May project.  I just don’t think I can pull it off this month. Instead, I’m going crazy with videos and blogs after a pretty long siesta.  Hey, I feel like talking and cooking after writing a 60,000 word book in 5 weeks.  Strange I know.  Anyway, that’s enough of that.  This week’s featured videos include: A video on 180 Degree Metabolism for those who won’t be able to read the book.  In the video I lay out the general premise… Read more »
