I would guess it could easily take longer than that. For me my temps would only go up if I ate and then rested immediately after eating. If I got up and did almost anything, it would go back down. That went on for weeks at least. Eventually it started going up when I was up more of the time and then even going down when I lay down, which is more how it’s supposed to be. I still have waking temps around 97.6 to 97.8 most of the time. I gave up on trying to force that any higher and just hope it happens someday as I become healthier and rebuild years of damage. I remember being 98.6 a lot when I was younger. like that really was the number. Now I’m all over the place often experience temps 98.9 to 99.5 during the evening rise sometimes between 4:00 and 7:00 pm. I think there is a lot of variety in people’s temps, so I wouldn’t put too much stock in 98.6 in particular. I’m assuming your day time temps are still low, and not just waking temps? In a phone consult, Matt didn’t seem particularly disturbed at my low sleeping and waking temps as long as my day time temps were pretty normal. I really did have to eat unrestrainedly to get them up. Now my appetite is normalized.
