One element of his practice is to really deepen the ‘felt responses’ of the body – a vital skill to help us feel the messages of the body. Another element is to become sensitive to the whole range of sensory feelings and emotions and thoughts and beliefs, and to build our ability to be with these – even those that make us feel uncomfortable. The ability to welcome and be with all emotions, feelings and thoughts, reduces their stressful effects and brings the mind-body closer to equilibrium. It’s a fascinating area.
