Many would not consider 55% carbs high – most people who talk about high carb diets quote 80 to 90% carbs.

I am not calculating my carbs percisely, but recently decided to eat largely fruits to get my carbs. I have gained a lot of weight and still haven’t gotten high temps so am trying something new. I think I was eating maybe around 30 to 35% fat which may not be high but isn’t low either. From what I have read here and elsewhere, most people might be leaner on a high fruit/carb diet than on a high fat diet.

I once went low carb and while I didn’t gain weight (was only on it for around 9 months) none of my low metabolism symptoms went away and one of them, my digestive distress, went way up.
