I actually ended up going back to 3 meals per day, no dairy and just grains, veg, oil, fish for lunch and dinner and something like oats, coconut milk, macnuts and fruit for breakfast. I laid off the sugars. If I’m really hungry I’ll have an apple and macnuts as a snack. I lost half of the 20lbs I had gained on eat for heat and feel pretty again. In a month or so, I’ll probably feel fine in a bathing suit and fit back into most of my clothes. I’m sorry to say that I felt gross and sick eating dairy, bread, lots of sugars and I don’t care if it makes me great after a year or two. I just can’t live like that. I think that I have a balanced diet now that can be maintained at any good restaurant and I stick to this point of view, so as, to take the guess work out of my diet. No more extremes like low carb or calorie restriction, nor do I eat tons of sugary or salty snacks that are addictive and make me feel sluggish.
