What does a hyperglycemic spike feel like? I only recognize hypo drops. Yes, salt has always helped me in recovery. I will definitely keep an eye on that and make sure I add some to my savory meals! Also, my blood tests showed dehydration so I have upped my water intake (I am not a fan of water!0 so hopefully this helps.
