Thanks so much for your thoughts Christina. I bought and read Ari’s book Forever Fat Loss this weekend and the concept is really interesting…we need a calorie deficit, but it can’t be forced…I get it, but it’s also really hard to NOT monitor. :)
I went and had a V02 metabolic test done, along with a body composition and RMR test today as well – I found out that I’m burning 1627 calories at rest and surprisingly, my metabolism errs on the HIGH side of normal. That was really exciting news! But…because of all this “metabolism fixing,” I’m still 20 lbs more than I want to be.
I’m going to try what Ari is preaching, along with limiting carbs in the late afternoons/evenings. (I’m still going to eat them, just try and make the majority of my carb intake happen during the morning and early afternoon.)
Question for you: how long did it take you to get down from size 12 to 8 and how much weight was that? I ask because I feel like I’m still inching up and need some sort of time frame to look forward to.
