How can I put it? Since Spain is part of the Schengen Area, a valid Schengen visa from any Schengen country automatically covers transit through Madrid. You don’t need a separate transit permit. You can verify this by reading here: https://madrid-mad-international-airport.com/ . I’ve flown through MAD several times with a Dutch Schengen visa and never had any issues at passport control. The only caveat is if you have a separate ticket and need to leave the Schengen area and check in again. In that case, passport control will take longer, so allow extra time. How long is your layover? Do you have some buffer time, or is it very tight?
