Ok, just wanted to update this in case anyone else is having this problem. I’m sure there are various reasons why this happens to people, but in my case it seems to be related to dysbiosis of some kind.
So, my family was recently exposed to whooping cough and I decided to attempt to prevent it by taking some oil of oregano (a natural antibacterial) and a little garlic. For the first time in a long time, I did not wake up starving in the middle of the night. It was great. Took a little the last few days and had the same results! Awesome. I know this isn’t a long term solution but it’s been really helpful. The same thing happened about three months ago, but I thought it was just a fluke–that I happened to sleep better for the two nights after I took some anti-bacterials.
