Anyone here tried Aloe Juice (essentially the gel from inside an aloe plant)?

My family have been taking it, and have reported better digestion, more energy, less pain, etc, so I’ve been giving it a go for the past couple of weeks. Can’t say I’ve noticed anything drastic yet, but perhaps it will just take a bit longer to kick in for me.

A family friend has been taking it for about 20 years and says it cured her arthritis (presumably rheumatoid).

    Anyone else tried it?

I have used it. I haven’t had it in several months, but for awhile I was drinking the Lily of the Valley brand in the glass bottle (I mention this because I tried it in the plastic bottle once and thought it was disgusting – I think there is an extra preservative in that one). I started using it after having a severe UTI/kidney infection because I heard it can help the kidneys. I don’t know if it did that, but it really helped my digestion. With lasting effects, it seemed. And it just leaves an overall good feeling of hydration and feeling good. I have only good things to say about it.

@The Real Amy – Yeah, I’m drinking one from a plastic bottle that has a couple of preservatives and it tastes pretty nasty (almost like TCP!). But that’s very encouraging that you experienced some definite benefits! I will stick with it!

DEFINITELY get the glass bottle. It only has citric acid or something like that added. It tastes good, and I am inclined to believe that the body is telling you something when things taste good or bad.

@The Real Amy – I live in South Africa, I don’t even know if you can get it in a glass bottle here! I’ve certainly not seen it. I did check the preservatives and it says they’re both from natural sources (one is from a “fruit source” and one is from the Ash tree). But I will have a look for one that doesn’t have preservatives.
