Obviously we want to raise our body temperatures, and a low body temperature indicates a low metabolism.
However, is there a lowere level that is actually dangerous? Ive just started reading these books etc and my temperature is very low. Today it is 35.8C (96.44F)
Hypothermia occurs at 35C (95F), so unless you are experiencing a shock or trauma and your temp is going down quickly, that is a “normal” low temp and you probably don’t need to go to the hospital.
Mine has gone that low, even a bit lower when I tried GAPS for a week. I felt awful, worst I’ve ever felt, but it came up some when I ate some white rice.
I’m using an ear thermometer, and you have to really work it to get a good temperature. I think I’ve finally found a good spot to aim for… but it could be how you’re measuring your temp is resulting in a low temp reading. If you just use that as a basis to see if what you’re doing is moving it higher, the trend should be ok – even if the absolute value is reading low.
