    Hi everyone,
I’m about 8 weeks pregnant and am having a hard time finding food that I like and that feels okay in my stomach. I realized that this has led me not to eat enough in the evening and has resulted in many, many restless nights. Last night after reading food ninjas (great book!), when I was up from 1-3 I realized this and got out of bed and had a snack.

I’d like to start eating a bedtime snack before I go to sleep in hopes that I wont’ be up for hours in the middle of the night. My problem is that things just don’t sound good so I’d love to hear what others eat that helps them fall asleep. I’m going to the store now to look at ice cream and see if anything sounds good (although I don’t think so) and I might make a custard. I was thinking combining that with something salty like popcorn or crackers might be good. Thanks for any suggestions!!

I came across this Hibernation Diet thing,it states that you should eat 1 or 2 spoons of honey before going to bed in order to have a restful sleep and wake up energized.

I tried 2 spoons of regular sugar in milk last night after several bad nights of sleep and while I’m not sure if I slept better due to having accumulated tiredness or if I slep better because of this but I suddenly slept 7 1/2 hours last night. Which is excellent for me.

I eat chocolate chip muffins with butter and yogurt, about 2-3 hours before going to bed and usually have a good night’s sleep. The only thing that would interfere with that is doing something intense on the computer before going to bed, say read a very complex article, debate, or something silly like that! If I don’t eat within a couple of hours of going to bed, I don’t sleep solidly through the night.
