So I’ve recently been diagnosed with blasto after experiencing frequent episodes of 24 hour long bouts of gastro (vomiting, diarrhoea,
sulphur burps, severe tummy pain, general wanting to kill myself..all of this happening simultaneously) in between this i experience chronic diarrhoea and nausea..

Also!! Im recovering from a pretty intense brush with ANOREXIA!! yay!!!! Oh my goodness it’s great to be alive!!!! So it’s not like I can just no eat for a couple of days when I do feel like this. So I’m just wondering if anyone has any ideas on simple, calorific foods that are healing for an incredibly fucked up digestive system that I can have in the fridge for when all I want to do is curl up in a ball and die (or relapse like a pro, which is pretty much the same thing)

Yikes, maybe you should ask your doctor? That sounds like a difficult situation.

If you mean blastocystistis Hominus, I was diagnosed a year ago and beat it. I took 3 different products and unfortunately don’t know which one is responsible for killing it but my latest stool test says it’s gone. First I took Parasit – X from Atrium. Then I took this one http://www.parasitetesting.com/fcr_promotion.cfm Then I took Alinia for 3 weeks. My guess is Alinia is the most powerful.

There are 5 varieties of B. Hominus, only 3 of which cause symptoms. I had one of the benign varieties which is why even after getting rid of it I still have the same digestive problems.

Good luck velvet you have my deep sympathy for what you’re going through.

    Hi velvetsquishy
I have had a couple of encounters with blastocystis and dientamoeba fragilis. I have managed to “get rid” of them in the past, but feel I may be suffering from another bout of one or the other or both at the moment. In the past I stopped eating because the discomfort and nausea were so bad and I lost a lot of weight (started off slightly overweight, so the weight loss itself wasn’t a problem). There is a website called Badbugs that talks a lot about these things. They say a low starch diet can help with some of the symptoms, but I don’t know if the current research backs that up and low carb doesn’t necessarily eliminate the bugs anyway. I haven’t lost any weight this time because I figure I feel just as bad if I eat as if I don’t, so I’m giving the buggers what they want (i.e. the starches they seem to love) and hopethat by keeping myself as well as possible by continuing to eat, sleep, rest, meditate they will leave me alone in time. I don’t know what else to do. It is horrible, debilitating at times and very anxiety-provoking because you literally feel under attack. It’s great that you got a diagnosis – it took me about 18 months the first time around. While some people can have these bugs without any symptoms, others of us can feel very ill indeed! I’d like an update on how you are going. Sorry I can’t give any specific advice about what to eat – I just understand it’s hard to eat anything when you feel like that.
