ParticipantWho knows the significance of climate on body temperature? Would it affect it at all? If so, for those of us looking for fractional improvements in temperature it might be important to take our local climate into account. Any thoughts on this?
diolch yn fawr iawn, Crinkly

ParticipantI’ve wondered the same thing. Ever since I started this process last Feb, my hands & feet were always cold. I sometimes got them mildly warm, but not like my hubs. Then the hot weather came & my hands & feet were warm. Warm all summer, but my temps are still low. I expect my hands & feet to get cold again with the cooling weather because I can’t seem to make any improvements.

ParticipantI think my hands and feet are noticeably warmer so I’m hoping this will last through winter. How low are your temps, Linda?

ParticipantStill low. Morning temp is usually 97.7 & after eating certain foods may be in low 98’s.

ParticipantI don’t think that’s particularly low, Linda, check out this article

Matt is quoting Barnes as saying 97.8-98.2 is ideal, unless he’s come to another conclusion since then (2010) and would now advise you differently? My temps are even lower than yours on waking- 36.3 which is 97.34. I see mine coming right up throughout the day, though.
Sounds like you are doing well :)

ParticipantHuh! Here I thought I was stuck. I pretty much blew the eating for heat over the summer, just couldn’t do it. I ate foods that didn’t bring my temps up at all so now that fall is here I am trying to get back on track. Also will pay more attention to warm hand & feet. Still not straight with sleeping, but I don’t think I will ever get thru the night without waking.
When I read about other people having temps at 99 I don’t think I’m going to get there & maybe that’s ok. I was reviewing diet recovery 2 last night. He does say some people won’t get to 98.6 & if other markers are good then it’s ok. I just don’t want to keep gaining. I’ve been depressed about it & need to get my mind off it. I do feel better than I did over winter, feel like being a little more active. I have been afraid that I am never going to succeed at this & have to accept this heavier body. Sorry about ranting, lately it’s all I do. I will look at the link you put up. Good luck to you.October 10, 2013 at 10:12 am #13085Linda
ParticipantHey Crinkly, we had our first pretty cool day yesterday & my hands & feet were cool as I suspected. Same today even after eating a very warming breakfast. My temps haven’t changed either.
