I’m sensitive to dairy (because of leaky gut) and have a food sensitivity (through testing) to gluten. I was wondering if I can refeed with either even though I’m allergic to both. I’m happy to get brain fog and a lil constipation if I can eat a pizza every night!

    Thanks

@jdmc I’ve tried shit like eating pizza’s as well and for me it didn’t work, made things only worse.
I think if you have leaky gut, you’re already depleted in vital minerals&nutrients so eating pizza will only deplete you more….but that’s just my opinion&experience,it migth be different for you.

Interesting. So what has been your alternate way of eating? Gluten free pizza kinda thing or just completely steering clear of that stuff? I’m really interested to hear what others have been doing with intestinal dysbiosis and leaky gut, surely you can’t just eat crap, surely you have to tailor it, right?

I also had problems with dairy and gluten, and thought I had a leaky gut. Tried the GAPS diet and felt like I spent all my time preparing food and still starving, couldn’t stick with it even thought there were some improvements. Refed predominantly on ice-cream as that’s what I was craving. Interestingly, I didn’t and still don’t feel much like gluten products, but don’t deny myself either – including pizza! At first I noticed worsening of some symptoms, but there were improvements in others and I was so enjoying just eating so I stuck with it and am feeling heaps better and still eating heaps of ice-cream!

Would be interested in hearing others’ experiences though, especially long-term, and wish you well on your journey.

@jdmc I eventually backed off all grains, and somewhat of all starches now even the ones with the minimal amounts. But I don’t know if you should do that, with me its related to an auto-immune-gene thing.
