Cataract surgery

I am an immigrant who is looking to bring my mother to Toronto as she is suffering from blurred vision and I suspect it is a cataract. I am not sure about it, but at the moment she is able to perform all her duties, and the only time she experiences difficulty is when she tries to read the newspaper. I am hoping to fix an appointment with a cataract surgeon in Toronto to get an expert opinion. I am seriously concerned about her well being as eyes are the most important sense organ in our body. I want to know if there is something that I could do to check her cataracts my self. I also want to know what are the possible treatments available for cataract preferably the one with the least pain and fast recovery. Money is not a problem but I want the best treatment for my mother. I would certainly appreciate if someone could share their valuable experience going through this process. I think your experience can help me better understand, what my mother will go through and act accordingly. Please share your experience and the best procedure for cataract surgery.
