Hi, I was wondering if anyone has ever used CLA and what their thoughts are about it. I used it in the past, but not since starting re feeding etc. Does anyone know if it is actually detrimental due to being derived from safflower, which would make it a PUFA?
I will be interested to hear other people’s experiences on this. I’ve never tried it personally. Did you notice anything positive/negative when you use it in the past? CLA is just one component of PUFA, so I wouldn’t necessarily take the fact that it’s derived from a PUFA to mean it’s harmful.
Yes I definitely think I did. I was leaner for sure. I’ve gained between 5-10 lbs since starting rrafing in May. I quit because I don’t know the long term side effects, and was worried about the pufas, but maybe it would be a good idea to start it again. I hope Matt could give some advice!
I would definitely listen to your own bio-feedback and instincts. Gaining weight since RRAFRing is pretty common so that may be unrelated to the CLA, but you probably have a better sense since it’s your own body.
