ModeratorElocin, if it is working for your girls’ teeth, that sounds like a very positive sign. You are doing something right. Honestly, even if there were some short-term consequences, isn’t that better than having their molars pulled, which would have a lifelong consequence? The good thing about CLO is I’ve never heard about any lasting negative effects. If it causes problems, they seem to go away when people stop.

ParticipantI had a similar experience. I was taking the chocolate and bought the cinnamon. I noticed a ton of indigestion that I didn’t have with the other flavor. However, my toothache went away. About 3 weeks in to the cinnamon, I started having a hard time breathing and then chest pains. Of course, I didn’t consider the CLO. Long story short and a couple ER trips later, it was the CLO. I stopped taking it and the problem went away. I took it and it came back with a gusto.
I called Green Pastures and the owner sent me free bottles of the unflavored CLO and butter oil (separately, not the blend), so I could figure out which I was having a problem with. The unflavored CLO caused a problem right away.
So, now my toothache is back and I’m unsure how to deal with it. I eat lots of pastured butter and get lots of sun, so it has to be the vitamin A that is benefiting me.

ModeratorWow, that sounds bad. There are other ways to get vit. A. Maybe regular beef liver would be ok for your body?

ParticipantWow, Kari. I totally understand what you are saying, as it happened to me. I was so close to going to the ER; I just didn’t understand what was wrong with me. :( See, the same thing happens to me eating beef liver too. Maybe because it was raw? But I mean, I would freeze and cut them up into teeny-tiny pellets and eat a couple and start feeling things that very were similar to what I’d felt with the FCLO. Again, at this time, much like the with FCLO, I never thought it could be “beef liver” either as it’s known for being so healthy. :/ I may try a small piece again at some point, cooked.
Also, since posting this, I have had some cod liver oil. Nordic Naturals. It is what I used to get all the time and had no problems taking, but then I was informed of how ‘inferior’ it was to the GP FCLO and switched over, then got sick. The Nordic Naturals cod liver oil produces no negative effects for me.

ParticipantLast night I took my very first 1/2 tsp. of GP Blue Ice Royal Butter/FCLO Cinnamon. Within 2-3 minutes I hit the floor with my heart pounding out of my chest, profuse sweating, nausea, dizziness, and lost bowel function. It lasted about a half hour. I really thought I was having a heart attack. I spoke with my functional medicine doctor this morning and he said I definitely had an allergic reaction. I will not be touching it ever again! It’s not worth that! It seems to be rare, but it does happen.

ParticipantI am sooo glad to have found this…(not about your reaction) I took 1/2 tsp of CLO for the past couple of days. I have looked up negative/allergic reactions to this online, not finding much. Brenda, I had the same reaction as you (EXACTLY) after trying it a second time thinking “it must be good for me…everybody says so”. I’m done.
