Yeah, I’m as old as you if not older. And I have the pellets. Won’t be replacing them, though, they’re no better than the compounded capsules I was taking before, and way more expensive. This is just one of a long list of things I’ve tried to fix issues, mostly not related to menopause, and I’m getting tired of it. Still have the extreme fatigue, still have the 25 lbs I gained last year for no apparent reason, and who really cares about the lab values if the symptoms don’t improve?

    Don’t get me started, lol.

53, menopause since Feb 2012. I am seeing a new gyno in two weeks to see if she can locate my libido!

I’m 59, struggling with sleep issues. Thanks to this site I’m eating more than I used to and loving it. I have always maintained a good weight, just thought I should be thinner but that was a cultural issue. I guess I thought I should always be a size 6 like I was when I was younger instead of the 10 I am now. My temp is still 97 in the a.m., maybe it was as low as 96 in the past. I had hoped that getting my metabolism going would help with the sleep.

I’m done already. 51. I found that eating more food resolved many issues for me.

I am 56 and have finally gotten my am temp up to 84 and most of my menopause symptoms are gone. I sleep amazing. I still have some edema but it is much better. My sex drive is returning. I do take ProgestE, Ray Peat’s progesterone and vitamin E once daily but that and eating the food have done it for me. When I started my temps were in the high 95’s. Even when they got to the high 97’s I had symptoms but am feeling pretty good now.

I’m gonna join y’all, even though I’m *only* 48. No, I’m not joining you to feel young, ;P I am having issues so need to be here! I have been on progesterone cream for 4 yrs already and have weight and sleep issues. Oh, the fun. My temps are still low, after 18 mos of 180D eating, but I have only just recently gone from a consistent 97.2 up to 97.5. At least it FINALLY moved!!!

I am 54, about 6 yrs in the pause. Never took anything due to my chronic leukemia. Tried progest e but felt it made me more estrogen dominant. Tests show zero progesterone, nearly zero testosterone and low estrogen as usual.. anyone here tried testosterone gel or cream? I am fucking desperate, won’t bother you with my symptoms but there are days when I wonder if I feel this way now how the hell I can get to 70 or older! Thanks ladies for sharing, means a lot to this hag ;-)

THat hag- I did get a script for testosterone gel 2% from my gyno last year. My results have been mixed…when I used it a few years ago I had to be very careful of overuse or I would get hair loss on the upper sides of my forehead. This last time it seemed to work well for a few months and then lose effectiveness, but I do feel it is worth a try esp if you have test results. A compounding pharmacy can make it pretty cheaply.

I am using the Emerita Progest again and do find it really helps my sleep. I hope to get a full panel of hormone tests when I see the new gyno later this month. I am holding off adding anything on my own until then.

I really feel bad for my husband! MY late thirties and most of my 40s were really prime time for my sex drive.

Pregnenolone is the precursor to testosterone and progesterone. Have you tried supplementing with that? If you do, make sure to get plenty of cholesterol because that is required for the conversion.

Glad to hear there are others in my age or at least close attempting to raise their temps. I am 61 and and all the way to the other side of the Pause. I am sleeping well. I have done compounding in the past. I really felt I was getting too much estrogen. I ended up with fibroids etc. I got off them. Not doing too badly on my own.

Not sure where my temps are, but I started in the low 97’s. My hands and feet are mostly always warm.

Anyone used Estrace? My new dr gave me some yesterday. It is mainly for atrophy ( lovely thought) but can help libido and also hot flashes.
