I can’t speak for Matt, and I never read that specific book, but I think it was one of his older books and might have had outdated info. I vaguely remember someone mentioning that the book suggested starches over simple sugars, and I don’t think Matt believes that anymore (I think Matt suggests both now, depending on the individual, specific circumstances, etc)… I could be totally off about that last point, but that’s my recollection from some blog posts a while ago.
