Thoughts? Anyone tried it? Had success? It sounds interesting but might be too restricting for me although I’ve always wanted to be a vegan….

I did it strictly for 7 months before. First 5 months were high carb then the last 2 months I started to add coconut, avacado and some sprouted nuts and seeds.

I loved it at first but it was short lasted. To this day I hardly consume any starch and prefer simple raw sugars (mostly from fruit) and also love juiced greens. Though, I feel much better with some animal protein/cholesterol/vitamins in the diet…

Thanks, Kakti! I’m curious about trying it but will do some more research first and read some books.

After doing some research I realize that this won’t be the best for me health-wise. It seems so simple and lovely to just eat fruit but I don’t want to compromise my health.

@saisrice Have you gotten inspired by watching videos from freelee from 30bad?
If you want to eat fruit, but fear or like having animal foods…then why dont you eat both and see if your preferences migth change?:) eating fruit for carbs along with animal food and some sat.fats is basically losely Peating:)

Thanks, Dutchie. I’ve always felt uneasy about eating animals but incorporated meat after being a vegetarian for 10 years when I was training for a marathon and dreaming of eating meat. Now I buy meat that lived (and was killed) as humanely as possible (grass-fed, pasture raised, etc). I always wanted to be a vegan but thought it would be isolating as I have a big group of friends and huge family who all love to cook and eat and everyone eats everything. Anyway, yest watching videos from freelee and 30bad is inspiring! I love the idea of mono island and just eating a big bunch of bananas although I imagine I’d want something else eventually. I just am interested in the whole thing and raw till 4 sounds good to me too. I guess I’m afraid that if I ate raw till 4 but then a cooked dinner that that somehow would make me fat (or gain weight). Like I’d just need to eat HCRV in order to loose weight and feel good and if I ate more fruit but still ate other things that I’d somehow hurt my metabolism and gain weight. Weird logic I’m sure and just my mind wanting to be black or white- HCRV or not at all.

Do you notice that you’re able to keep your temperature high and have a raised metabolism by eating a good amount of fruit? If so, can you give me an example of what you eat in the day? I’d really like to have some meat and fruit for meals and lessen my starch eating (especially bread). 30bad seems to be against fat so I’d like to avoid that if I’m eating fruit… hmmm. Any clarification or meal suggestions is appreciated!

I suffer from black&white thinking too,so it’s not so weird to me;)

I can’t say much about weigth/fatgain, but there are studies online that claim that a diet high in fruit&(lowfat?)dairy improves insulin sensitivity&lipid metabolism, reverses osteoporosis and lessens bellyfat.
I’m still hesitantly testing the waters myself and keep on messing around with eating, exercising etc.

I don’t know if I have a high temperature and if my bodytemp is good enough,bc I never feel all that good with being very warm….
Freelee doesn’t add salt to fruit, I do. Lately I’m on this medjool dates kick which I sprinkle with salt while eating. I also used to take bananas, put them in the oven with the peel still on and keep an eye on them. Then when the peel is entirely black and banana feels kinda soft mushy (wear ovenmits!) I’d take them out of the peel, sprinkle some salt&cinnamon on them and eat….or instead of salt I’d sprinkle them with finely grated Peccorino cheese, but you can use Parmesan too. That defenitely made me warm.
Lately I’m also making jello from OJ with raw cane sugar and some salt added and I grease the bowl with some coconut oil….or gummies from 2different brands of maple syrup thrown together.
If you want to lower your meatconsumption, you can substitute it with gelatinpowder? It was never an intentional thing, but I find with eating jello daily my appetite and cravings for meat are virtually over.
In other threads people were talking about making baked apples.

I think in order to stay warm on a diet rich of fruits it’s important to add some salt or salty food to it ,especially the watery fruits such as watermelon(plus it usually gives a nice sweet&salt kick),eat less watery fruits such as dried fruit and some (sat)fat (doesn’t have to be with every meal,if you want to lose fat.) whether it be coconut oil or some raw coconut, butter, fat in (lowfat)dairy.

Thanks, Dutchie! I want to try it but I think that right now I need to focus on eating a bit of everything since my main goal is to get pregnant. I’ve read that full fat dairy is good for fertility and I know for myself that eating starch and just not stressing about what I eat is probably the ticket for pregnancy for me. It’s so hard though because I’ll find myself thinking of changing my diet and wanting to loose this weight and then really, really wanting to cut things out. It’s like I don’t feel comfortable just eating what everyone else is eating. I used to so hopefully I’ll get back to that. When I think of the future and next summer and how I really want to have another child by then, I know that if I keep going on my usual path of tweaking my diet and cutting things out that while i may be thin again I may not have a baby next summer. So I gotta think of the bigger picture and keep doing what I’m doing. I might try trading in a bit more fruit once I’m back at my own house (I’ve been living with my parent’s at the beach for the past 3 weeks) and doing what you suggested regarding adding some salt and gelatin. The banana in the oven sounds delicious! How’s your leg by the way?

Yeah,i can imagine any stress is a burden when youre trying to get pregnant.
And maybe this will ease the dieting mind a bit….but whats the point of losing weigth now, when youre going to get big within a year again,if all goes to plan? You migth as well try to go for one big stready weigthloss after the pregnancy. :)
But like said its not impossible to substitute some foods for fruit already…and keeping animal proteins/dairy and sat.fats in,its basically Peating without strict foodrules.

The banana mash/puree with some cinnamon is indeed nice&comforting. My mom used to feed us mashed banana in period when we had no teeth yet but this is extra nice bc its warm out of the oven.
Living in a house. at the beach…i so envy you! I always dream of that.

Thank you, very kind of you to ask ….and good memory:)
The bump is gone and skin around it is still a bit pink, for some reason it sometimes turns darker red/purple but while changing bandage i saw that the bump existed over a birthmark,so im going back tomorrow for a check, though im not worried that its skincancer or scared by it.

I’ve tried living on nothing but fruit for a few days at a time. When I was younger, I could manage it without much problem. But nowadays I’d be ordering a pizza by 3:00 in the afternoon. I simply can’t be satisfied anymore without some sort of protein in my diet, and fruit is just unbelievably low in protein.

But I love high fruit diets if I can add some animal foods. Fruit and dairy are a great combination, and lately they’ve accounted for over half my daily calories.

I think varied fruits together with animal proteins and some fat can provide an allround nutrition.
High dairy&fruit diets are linked in researches to increase insulin sensitivity/reverse diabetes, improve lipid oxidation and lower abdominal fat.

Inspired by watching freelee vids? Obviously you haven’t been around the block enough.

“Raw” is where you’re going to go wrong. You’re not going to absorb enough calories that way.

I dont watch her vids usually, but a couple of days ago I saw a vid from Freelee where she ate this entire pan of boiled&seasoned potatoes,so she’s not entirely Raw either.

Dutchie, good for you that you’re not worried about or scared about your skin changes. No need to be I’m sure. What did the dr have to say?

Regarding the diet, I’ve never tried to eat a high carb diet before and my most recent past has been more paleo so high protein and fat and for long stretches I wouldn’t eat any fruit so a high fruit diet sounds pretty awesome. I have been eating more fruit but I’ve been adding salt and have still been eating starches and grains and everything.
