What are you guys eating on backpacking trips? I’m going hiking in the mountains for a week and playing around with macronutrient ratios. I’m bringing rice, oats, flour, raisins, dates and ghee for the calories. Some dried meat and veggies. And single malt scotch, of course. :)

Fat and dried fruit definitely make up for deficits and don’t weigh down the pack too much. I usually bring hot dogs and cheese too and invariably end up eating higher in fat while hiking.
