"Ideopathic Utricaria" or just hives?

Hey everyone,
Sorry about the fancy title to this post, but, two days ago, I started to experience red welts on my skin. Just some background: I’ve been eating for heat for a few months, and my sleep is somewhat better than it used to be after a stress event precipitated insomnia (and all the other signs of a messed up metabolism). The thing with my sleep is that, although I can sleep at least 8 hours sometimes, I tend to go to sleep late. So, I decided to buckle down and set myself to sleep at 10:30/11:00 pm.

I slept until like 1:30 am, and then I woke up with my hand itching. And, now I have these swollen lumps on my body. And, I keep waking up with them. They are very similar to what my mother has, which has been diagnosed as “Ideopathic Utricaria.” Which basically means, she has these skin irritations for no reasons that an allopathic doctor can come up with. Although, I can see that her body is out of balance (Nocturia, not sleeping through the night, etc..)

I’m inclined to believe that this is just another symptom of stress, but I am not bound to that particular idea.

Has anyone had experience with these sort of welts? Thoughts, any suggestions?
