Hello, I’m a 40 yo Male with a history of dieting. I started when I was a teenager and had moderate success with the usual yo-yo pattern. Between the ages of 28-32 I held it together and got into real good shape. Went on a multi-year binge following that and put on 70 lbs. During this time I tried lots of plans to no avail. After trying “Intermitent Fasting” earlier this year (one word of advice: don’t) I was fortunate enough to stumble upon the book “how to become naturally thin by eating more” by Jean Antonello. It takes a food-as-appetite suppresant/intuitive eating approach. Shortly thereafter, I found this site and the wealth of information it offers. Long story short I have lost 30 lb since march 2013, and have not been hungry or eaten one thing i did not want to eat in the process.
I haven’t given up my exercise however, I have a busy work and family life, so working out is my “me time.” Workouts vary depending on mood: could be a nice long walk or 400 m sprints, or whatever else I might feel like doing. I trust myself to follow my instincts when it comes to this.
Anyhoo, that’s me in a nutshell. CHeers!
