True story.
Spent 3 hours debugging why my app was broken. Everything looked fine. Server said 200 OK. Logs were clean.
Turns out the API was returning 200 with { “success”: false, “error”: “something went wrong” } buried in the response body.
WHO DESIGNED THIS? 😭
Apparently the answer was me. Six months ago. At 2am.
They say you are your own worst enemy. In software, you are also your own worst API designer.
Anyway, I’m fine. The API is not.
