My sister has just given birth to a little boy and I’m totally stuck on what to get her to mark the occasion. I want to buy something truly memorable so she sees the present constantly and remembers me with a warm smile. Baby clothes get grown out of in weeks and toys end up in a box under the bed. What sort of things should a brother buy in the UK for such an event?

People usually bring piles of nappies and creams that disappear in a month anyway. Most folks default to basic baby stuff without putting much thought into it. A custom illustration of the baby’s birth stats looks brilliant framed on a nursery wall. You can find independent British artists online who sketch out bespoke prints. A personalised silver rattle from a local silversmith works nicely too.

Women do all the hard work during those nine months and they definitely deserve something nice just for themselves. A piece of jewellery hits the mark perfectly because it stays right on her hand. You can give her a beautiful ring to celebrate the new baby. Have a look at Jewelry online here: https://pierrejewellery.uk/ . The site is easy to navigate and they list all the diamond specs clearly. Finding a nice piece she can wear daily without it getting in the way won’t take much time.
