ParticipantAnyone have any ideas why ovulation would stop especially while eating the food for the past 5 months and having the last 3 months not ovulating? I’m seeing many improvements and my temps gave gone up significantly. I’d really like to hear your thoughts and suggestions!

ParticipantI would enjoy hearing about this also. I have not been ovulating either and my charts have been doing some strange stuff, however my temperatures seem more consistent.

ModeratorFor the OP: things could very well still be evening out. I would definitely feel into any of these things though…
Stress
Needing more sleep/rest
Personally, though I do partially think that the whole re-feeding thing can be good, at the same time it is going to depend a lot on your background. I would personally recommend eating organic whole foods, but not limiting yourself within that realm.
You both may also be interested in looking into sleeping in darkness for a while (not being able to see you hand in front of your face 15 minutes after turning out the lights) and see how that affects your cycles. If you still feel like you are having problems you can try adding in low levels of light starting on day 14 of your cycle. If you want to look up more about that it’s called lunaception. Anyway, just a few ideas! It’s hard to give much advice without knowing a lot about history and getting a full intake and everything!

ParticipantI definitely do organic food at least at home. I could work on stress management and I know I could sleep more and I definitely know sleeping is important but you think enough of a lack of sleep could affect cycles? It sounds silly asking that because I think the answer is of course! Also thanks for the response!

ParticipantI have been using an eye mask for about a year and a half, taking it off on day 14 – 17, no luck but now I can’t sleep without it. Is the eye mask the same as a darkened room? I have often thought the pressure on my eyes may change the outcome, either that or I am digging too deep.
Thanks!

ModeratorI don’t think anyone really knows that for sure, snowdrop. I know that I read lunaception (which is a book), which was highly unscientific, but she surmised it would be different than darkening your room completely. There is also work a nurse has done on sleeping in darkness and cycle problems, but I have heard the book isn’t very great.
