Any thoughts or ideas on how long these issues take to balance out while one is utilizing the metabolic approach? I started having problems with puffiness under my eyes after training for and running a marathon (gee go figure). Two years later I got a wild hair up my ass and decided hiking from Mexico to Canada on the PCT was a great idea. My issues worsened and my health problems got nasty. Shocker, right? At the time I was convinced it was allergies and something in the air. I now see it as likely connected to metabolism and water/salt balance in the body. I’ve only recently (since October) been taking the metabolic approach to healing and haven’t been RRARFING, just getting a solid amount of food everyday and trying to figure out what makes me warm and what doesn’t. I more recently started to play around with not drinking so damn much water etc. and utilizing more salt in my diet. I just wonder, how long before I see that damn puffiness under my eyes go away? Do I have to give up coffee? I only have a cup a day (w/ coconut oil and honey) and I do love it so. Any thoughts would be much appreciated!
