    Hi, I am writing this for my friend. She has OCD traits in her character. She is my childhood friend. Now we are working in the same office. She is doing things repeatedly. This repetition is due to some unwanted doubts. If she keeps things somewhere, then she will check it repeatedly to make sure that it is there. I told her several times, try to avoid such unwanted doubts and obsessions. But, she can’t control them. Last day, she told me that she consulted her family doctor and he diagnosed this as OCD. She asked me to find a clinic for the treatment. I have searched on the internet and found one clinic in Toronto providing OCD therapy. Before suggesting this to her, I would like to know whether there are any self-remedies to prevent this OCD. Is there any meditation, yoga or exercises there to control such unwanted thoughts? If anybody knows about this, please do share your suggestions and replies.


    Hi Tania, it’s good that you are going for CBT. CBT is the best treatment now we have for OCD. Just make sure that you are going to a good clinic.
