So, having my wife drag me through the GAPS diet and losing badly, I found Matt and have recovered quite well. In the process, I have read enough health advice to really get confused. I’d like to really understand, and hopefull I will one day, but for now, the big questions I have are about avoiding some of the big ugly diseases like diabetes and heart disease. Do we have a good idea about what things *really* contribute to diabetes? Some say sugar, others (especially here) contradict that. Vegetable oils? Stress? Tying your left shoe first? I have so many mainstream ideas turned on their head, I no longer have a clue. I’d even be OK if someone said, we don’t really know. I just want an honest answer. Is there some thing or things we can say with a high degree of confidence is bad for us?
