@Dutchie – It’s going very well, thanks! Still not reaching 400g, but have loads more energy even on 200-300g, and sleeping better, etc. I think that once I get to 400g I’ll be feeling even better! My diet is very varied, so it’s hard to give an example of a daily menu. I’m generally sneaking sugar into as many things as possible, as well as eating lots of cooked fruit! Cooked apples really seems to be the easiest way to get lots of sugar in one sitting. The other day I cooked up 15 apples with 1/2 cup sugar, and was able to eat half of the whole lot in one go! Homemade Sweet and Sour Chicken is a good choice for a main meal there’s loads of sugar in the sauce, and the vinegar masks the sweetness somewhat. I’ve also been drinking lots of heavily-sweetened homemade iced tea, which contains about 27g sugar per cup. Fried bananas with maple syrup and cream are a staple dessert or breakfast. (P.S. @David – Have been guzzling sweet drinks/sodas as much as possible (can’t overdo it, otherwise I get cold). It’s definitely a great way of supplementing sugar intake. I try and drink something sweet with each meal.

@Dutchie – Constipation is not really an issue for me since RRARFing last year. I do still have some digestive issues (mainly just abdominal pain), but I think they are directly related to the Endometriosis (as is the fatigue). I still battle with constipation on&off,the swellings/water retention and often have no idea anymore what to eat and what causes it. So, i basically keep eating the same everyday.

I can’t find where I got this from but you can make a decent corn syrup substitute buy boiling 2c sugar with 3/4c water a dash of salt and an acid, I usually just squirt about a teaspoon of lemon juice in (can’t taste it at all) and cooking till it’s syrupy, technical I know, sorry. :( Unlike a straight sugar solution of that concentration it doesn’t readily crystallize and it has so far seemed to do the trick all the times I’ve used it.December 20, 2013 at 1:50 pm #14322Nvr2L8Participant
