Apologies if this one’s been dealt with, but does anyone know whether studies cited by Taubes et al that sugar suppresses white blood cell activity have any weight? I also remember reading somewhere that every molecule of sugar takes 52 molecules of magnesium to process it. True or just hype?
Hey Bunniford,
I’d love to hear some thoughts on this as well. As I’ve posted elsewhere, the book “Primal Body, Primal Mind” has an extremely detailed description of sugar’s effect on the body and immune-system. I was disappointed that Matt’s book (12 Paleo Myths) didn’t address this issue. I’d love to hear some people’s thoughts if they’ve read that book and Matt’s.
