I don’t have air conditioning in my apartment and find that I’m sweating pretty heavily between dinner and waking up in the morning. My temps have consistently been 98.6 in the morning and above 99 at night but last night I was at 97.1. What gives? The only thing I can think of is that I’ve been craving a lot of watery food like salad and fruit and also drinking more water. Should I eat more salt to compensate?

Yes, try more salt. Sprinkle some on your salad and put a pinch in your water. And do drink more water when your temp is high.

I have also been struggling with sweating. My job makes me sweat for about eight hours a day, and while I drink 3 quarts of liquid at work, they tend to be sugar and salt heavy. I’m trying to find a good balance, but when you’re sweating that much you have to replace some fluids. I think I feel better without so much sweating and food consumption though.

Coconut water generally keeps you well hydrated for a while too.
