Hi,
I have severe problems with varicose and spider veins. Tried about anything (medical and alternative treatments), but no result. Any thoughts as to diet?
I am not overweight, exercise regulary (biking, dancing). Recently I started to follow the bodyrock.tv programme as a change, but that made the condition worse within 3 weeks. Real bummer!
I’m interested in this topic. I’ve had very visible veins starting to develop since teenage years. Spider veins/varicose. All on my legs near knees and more recently ankles. I think pregnancies made it a bit worse.
I too have always been slim and reasonably active. Did used to have constipation (BM every other day for years) but since doing GAPS BM much more frequent but I still got more spider veins in the last few months having a new baby. I wonder if crossing my legs to breastfeed has something to do with it?
Can they disappear? Or is it just a case of not getting any more. What can I do?
I was just getting on here to ask about the spider veins, I haven’t had any kids and am starting to get them pop up more. I’m assuming it is a lack of something in the diet, but I don’t know what. Maybe it is from the weight gain of eating for heat. My mother has really started getting varicose veins and sometimes I feel like the veins in my legs hurt so I wonder if I’m going that direction too.
I have had spider veins since I hit puberty (age 10), though luckily no varicose veins. When I was restricting my intake too much they were much much less noticeable, but I have no idea why.
At least I *think* they’re what you call spider veins. I googled spider veins and mine look less blotch-y/all-over-the-place and more like simple branches.
Sorry I can’t help with any suggestions, I’d love to know what causes them too.
