I’ve been trying to understand the “BSF list” of planets, but I’m a bit confused about the exact order it follows. I’ve seen different versions online, and some sources don’t seem consistent.
Does the BSF list refer to a specific astronomical ranking, or is it based on some educational or mnemonic system? I’d like to know the correct sequence from the closest to the farthest planet from the Sun, according to BSF standards.
Any explanations, clarifications, or reliable resources would be really helpful.

The BSF list of planets usually follows the standard order from the Sun outward. The correct sequence is:
Mercury → Venus → Earth → Mars → Jupiter → Saturn → Uranus → Neptune
If you’re trying to memorize them, the bsf list planets order is a helpful guide, as it’s based on distance from the Sun rather than any special ranking. Pluto is not included in modern lists since it’s classified as a dwarf planet.
A common mnemonic to remember the order is: My Very Educated Mother Just Served Us Noodles.
