I am researching a new camper battery for my van because I want a more reliable power setup for longer camping trips. My current battery setup is getting difficult to manage, especially when I need to run several devices without access to shore power. I have been looking at lithium options and came across Epoch Batteries during my research.

For people who have already upgraded their camper electrical systems, what battery capacity has worked well for you? I am trying to figure out how much capacity I actually need rather than simply buying the largest option available. My expected usage includes lights, a refrigerator, fans, phones, laptops, and occasional inverter use.

I am also curious about installation requirements. Can a camper battery usually be connected to an existing RV electrical system, or are changes to the charger, inverter, solar controller, or wiring commonly required when switching from lead acid to lithium? If anyone has installed an Epoch Batteries unit, how straightforward was the process?

Another question I have is about solar charging. How well do lithium rv batteries work with rooftop solar panels during regular camping? Is it worth adding solar at the same time as the battery upgrade?

I would also like to hear about long term reliability. Has anyone used rv batteries through multiple camping seasons and noticed improvements in usable capacity or charging speed compared with traditional batteries?

For anyone familiar with Epoch Batteries, what specifications should I compare before choosing a camper battery? I am especially interested in capacity, battery management features, charging requirements, and overall lifespan.
