I’m the same way. Sleep is HUGE for me. One night makes a difference. For me, yes, sleeping solidly through the night is what I need to do best on. If I woke up a few times every night I’d be worthless.

For me it was eating more, like you say, more volume and more variety. This took care of the contipation almost immediately. But after I while I started going the other way, loose stool even diarrhea. Sunday I started on some liver herbs and everything is normal now! I have no gall bladder.

I’d try just easing in to it, find your balance. I’m doing the same. :) I’ve always loved breakfast cereal, but I’m outside so much and when you’re hot, milk doesn’t always sit well…

I just about live outside :). I have always sweated a ton though, so not much room for improvement there.

The day I posted this I think I did get borderline heat exhaustion, got chills and a little weak trying to finish up a little foundered pony that was fighting with me. There wasn’t any shade where we were but a sliver by a building which I went and stood in twice (never had to do that before, I have very good heat tolerance generally). I drank 3 quarts of water and a 16 oz OJ, which is a lot for me. I think I need to really try and load up on water before I get started in the heat now and see if that helps. I just sweat it out faster than I can drink it. Which I’ve always done when I trim horses, but I think it’s accentuated now.

Anyway, I have continued to run at a higher temp I posted this. A few hours ago my underarm temperature was 98.3! :D And I can just feel heat coming off me, particularly neck, shoulders and arms. I think if I try hard I can do the flames coming off my hands thing pictured on your book ;)

I take a jar, fill a bit less than half full of molasses, then about half that much cocoa, then sweetener of choice (maple syrup is good), maybe some vanilla. Add this to milk for chocolate milk :)

Sounds very frustrating. Have you tried getting on some good liver herbs and staying on them a while? All around I would consider digestion. You don’t seem to be benefitting for your food for some reason. I think dysbiosis is more of a symptom than a cause. If things higher up like the pancreas and liver, stomach acid.. Are working right bacteria should be right.

Also, have you tracked your food intake? I know you say you’ve stuffed yourself but I e seen lots of people who thought they were eating a lot until they tracked and they found they were undereating. You want to eat about 500 calories over your current TDEE to gain. http://www.health-calc.com/diet/energy-expenditure-advanced

And hate to say it but, there could always be something genetic you simply cannot fix and can only manage.

Well, I believe in creation so even when I ate primal, I never agreed with their reasoning behind it. My reasoning was that we simply didn’t get enough physical activity today to eat much carbs.

We eat all the same foods we always have for the most part. The biggest changes are extra refinement of food and eating a bunch of corn/soy/canola oil. Otherwise, people have been eating pancakes from the start IMO. :)

Here’s a theory. What if your allergy is really an inability to digest the food.. Perhaps from a low metabolism, you’re not making the enzymes to process it well etc. So when you eat this food, you don’t digest it well and you don’t get the full benefit from it. So your body wants it all the more to try to get those nutrients? Keeps hitting the “we need dairy” button because it’s not working well? Kind of like how our remote control here has not been working well lately and everyone’s mashing the crap out of the buttons to change the channel.

And perhaps eating said food will eventually help you process it. I know Wheat used to make me hurt, after I had been off it for a while. Like hurt really bad, like miserable. I started eating it and kept eating it and actually in about a week I was fine eating it and I eat it every day now. I don’t get sore near as easily as I used to in general either. Like I hauled off and started riding by bike over 10 miles and didn’t get much soreness at all. I used to get sore at any increase in physical activity.

I will say I gained a little over 10 lbs. a good portion of that was muscle though. I did get a terrible belly that made me feel like a beached whale but it went down and while I’m still heavier, it’s all proportional. I also have more butt and chest. So there’s that.

I don’t know if I made a real opinion to disagree with :) mostly just talking and thinking here. Yes for someone who can’t take it mentally, his refeeding technique would be insanity.

So far there has been focus on the refeeding part but I was thinking more about the whole philosophy, particularly the weight loss and maintenence. It seems pretty rational and about as safe as you can get really trying to lose weight. He’s stressing having a good metabolism first and recovering any loss afterwards, and keeping your metabolism as high as possible by getting your body burning through as many calories in a day as you can.

He also stressed losing on as many calories as you can and losing slowly, no more than 1% of bodyweight per week.

You know, I used to never eat after supper.. never really wanted to. But yes, since I’ve been eating the food again I have been in the habit of eating at night, even right before bed. Not a lot but I used to eat nothing.. I will get my food in by supper and see if that helps. Thanks

He says to eat lots of unrefined carbs. I was low carb/low glycemic for a long time. When I added back carbs, my fasting blood sugar promptly fell from low 100’s to low 80’s. I was really shocked.

ExersiZe is important to, at a level your body can take. Indeed an over exersizer would benefit from taking a break from it. Too much breaks down, too little atrophies, in between builds.
