Thanks for the reply, @Linda. Now that you make me think about it, I’m afraid of sugar in soft drinks because here in Mexico everyone blames it for the extremely high rates of diabetes. Also, because here, soft drinks contain a lot of HFCS, and I’m sure a lot of that can’t be good.

Anyway, I still drink soft drinks, like two glasses a week, or something like that, but I’m trying to find something that I can drink frequently. I’ll keep experimenting.

    Thank you @mightym.
Funnily enough, I am 22 years old :)

It makes a lot of sense what you say, it helped a lot.

I don’t think it’s yeast either. I’ve had YI, and it definitely feels different. It must be that I’ve been trying to get good at Eating for Heat and sometimes I get dehydrated.. :/ Nevertheless, I’ll go somewhere for a culture.

It was good to know that coconut oil can be irritating, I’ll observe closely.

    Thank you very much

    Hi!
I have a question… what else could it be if one feels more or less the same symptoms of a yeast infection if it’s not a YI?
Or the other way around, Are there any foolproof signs and/or symptoms that one has a yeast infection instead of some other thing going on?

I ask because I’ve been feeling mildly uncomfortable for the last 3 or 4 weeks, and I think it is a yeast infection, so I’ve been applying (irregularly, I must admit) coconut oil topically, and it does help, but it comes back again…

    Thank you

Thank you, Sir Lurksalot, you’re right. It’s important to keep that in mind.

I’d like just to say that ETF absolutely worked for me. It’s the best I’ve ever felt. The more I think and the more I read my journal of those months, the more I realize that the appendicitis was just an annoying coincidence, or even if it was just caused by something I did, that it was related to something else.

Or even if all that is a lie, trust me when I say that it’s better to let me believe that. A lot less cortisol for me.

@YarnJess Thanks a lot! You have no idea how much what you wrote helped me calm down. I really appreciate it (and the link to the study).

And, @ThomasSeay THANK YOU very much for your suggestions and your words of hope. I really needed that.

I will definitely get some probiotics, and if they don’t seem to help, I might even try acupuncture and mastic gum.

This 180DH forum is full of treasure.

OMG surgery is not the best treatment for acute appendicitis?
    Then what is?
    What was?
Maybe this isn’t the place to ask this, but in February 2013 I got an appendectomy and EVERYTHING in my body went downhill from there.
My digestion sucks, my immune system is a joke and I don’t feel good in general.
I hope you guys can understand that this is terrible for me to read. What was I supposed to do with the pain and the infection on my poor appendix?
Also, I’m afraid because I’d been eating the food since November 2012, and just when everything was feeling heavenly in my body, BAM, the appendicitis came, so I’m afraid eating the food somehow caused it.
If someone knows what could I do now, please tell me.
    I’m rather desperate.

Does taking homeopathic remedies while being really convinced that they don’t work counts?

I know it sounds stupid, but hey, I did it.
