I probably need that many calories or more on my more active days. We are building a house right now so once our work really kicks in, I will need at least that much!

It sounds like you’re on the right track for sure… stopping excess fluids was a huge one for me, like you I always had the ice water. I agree to pay attention to the warmth in your hands and feet, I will eat if mine are cool. Your temps will come up if you keep eating more dry foods along with less water. Hang in there! I can now sleep without medication for the first time in many years!

Thank you Rob, I am definitely going to keep tabs on my temp during the building and be sure to keep eating a lot and careful to not over-consume fluids. I was a huge water drinker before this and stopping that was uncomfortable but definitely helpful in the long run.

I’m hoping more folks who are like me but further along will chime in. Would love for this to happen without tracking or counting calories or anything like that, cuz that’s some crazy-making shit for me. Seems to work for some but I’d rather not do that since even thinking about it makes me feel really anxious.

You bet. Parents divorce when I was 12. Shitty job situation in my mid 20’s, then two non sleeping kids in my 30’s…… Then trying and trying to force the weight off each time via restriction and overtraining! Just like the doctor told me to do. Big help!

Haha, guess I’m asking is the weight will come off when the rest of my body (and mind!) are in better working order! We are building a house right now so the activity will increase like mad soon!

I’m right here with you Kelly. I am trying to focus on the positives now – and I am hoping that as my energy level continues to increase slowly as it has finally started to do, that the weight will spontaneously drop off by itself. I will see where my body winds up but I honestly need to lose 80-90 pounds, I feel huge but I also feel better finally. It’s all baby steps and I’m right here with you, all the undereating, even through two pregnancies and breastfeeding an infant and a toddler! At the same time! I was not eating enough. Let’s give our bodies more time to heal, we can do it… I know in my guts this is the right path for me because IT HAS CURED so many issues I’ve had my whole adult life.

Hi Kelly, it’s Liz from ETF on Facebook :). My ankles swell too, and everything I am reading says that it’s a normal side effect of refeeding. I am hoping that if I follow this through, it will resolve on its own… Hang in there!
