ParticipantSlept like a baby last night. 8 Solid hours. Feel good today…even went to the gym. I missed out on some rest last weekend. It catches up with me.
If I could just get all the rest I need daily, I would be some much more consistent with everything in my life. I have been battling with sleep for so long – I wake between 3-4, then can’t get back to sleep. I am in the habit of taking 1 sleep pill (the medicine that is in Tylenol pm, less the Tylenol), it does the trick and helps me stay asleep all night. I figure it is better than taking Ambien which I was in the habit of for a while (used to take .25 of pill when I would wake). I haven’t tried the salt/sugar under the tongue yet…maybe I will give it a try next week as I will be on vacation.

ParticipantI always get sore boobs after I ovulate up to the point I get my period. Right now my boobs are huge (extra weight gain and pms). Have you had regular periods? Maybe the extra calories kicked off something and you ovulated and will get your period within next 10 days or so.

ParticipantIn Diet Recovery I think it more a suggestion to do what you feel like doing? He doesn’t promote Maxecise so much…I could be mistaken.
Going to look it up.

ParticipantSounds scary…my problem is that I am the mom and I am the cook in the family. If I had endless money for groceries and the time to devote to seeking out “perfect” foods. But I have a very busy life…so I try to incorporate as many healthy option as I time will allow. I try to buy organic dairy, use coconut oil…avoid process foods. We do eat out @ 1 night a week and although I try to avoid PUFAs, it is rather difficult.
So I walk the middle of the road, do my best, but resist becoming too obsessive about every ingrediant. But I will file this carageenan thing in my brain and I am sure I will try and avoid it.
thanks

ParticipantSo I had, cheddar cheese (no I didn’t read all the ingrediants) with Olive Oil potato chips (did read the ingrediants, potatos, olive oil, salt), a homeade brownie (made with butter and coconut oil)…within half hour I was WARM!!! Never had a hot flash before, but perhaps this is what one feels like. DIdn’t have a thermometer handy to take a reading.
Very interesting…like how I am seeing some results. Now just need to keep the temp up, get the urge to workout…and drop 20 pounds?

ParticipantWhat about organice Cream cheese? Ugh…I love cream cheese wth!!! lol oh well just have to have more butter.

Participant@ErinElizabeth, Congrats!!!
Thanks for your response.
Ugh, I am not sure if I made it to 3000 calories…maybe 2500 or so. Feel full right now…made brownies, with real cocoa, butter, coconut oil..really good…washed it down with a big glass of whole milk.
I felt really sluggish today…loaded up on calories in the morning. Then I was fighting brain fog the rest of the day. But my temps seems to be @98 most of the time now. Just need the “can’t sit still” to kick in. It doesn’t help that I am in the Northeast, and it’s cold, snowy (getting 3 storms this week). Spring is around the corner.

ParticipantAlso, I am making an attempt to eat 3000 calories today…I have to admit, I am scared to gain even more weight…or develop some sort of eating disorder and end up on MY 600 Lb Life (TLC documentary). I need to go back and read the part of why this won’t happen.
My clothes are tight now…and I am going away on vacation in less than two weeks. The idea of putting a bathing suit on…I might get harpooned at the pool…lol. Trying to keep my sense of humor and not freak.

ParticipantI am really out of practice for making time for exercise. I either have to get up really early or go at lunch. Either feels like a chore…but I am thinking if I force myself I might start liking it again. I work full time, and have two kids…I do all the cooking and many chores (I should make my kids help more) so I can easily find excuses. My nights are filled up with carting the kids around to activities…whenever I get a few minutes, I fall into the recliner…I often think I need a few solids days of not doing much more than vegging out to fully feel rested. Wah wah…I don’t mean to whine…but exercise always feels like a chore. I used to do it quite consistently despite feeling exhausted.

Participantagree. I went to the movies the other night. Had some popcorn and ate some sour patch kids that my daughter had. I carry a thermometer in my purse and took it out during the movie (without anyone noticing) and my temp was 99.3!! I also had another reading today of 99. So maybe I am on the way up. So I guess once I am consistently in the 98’s I will start working in some consistent exercise?

ParticipantHard thing to grasp, eating alot, gaining weight so that you can recover to lose weight. I keep trying to explain it to my husband but he won’t read the books and thinks it’s crazy. Meanwhile he has many symptoms of low metabolism. He has even been told he has a low thyroid.
I would just like to get into the 98’s soon!!! I have gained weight and it is uncomfortable…hard to find things to wear. I don’t want to buy a lot of fat clothes. lol
This morning I had a smoothie made with coconut milk, frozen fruit, coconut oil, some protein powder and chia seeds. Then made some toast with a bunch of butter and cream cheese. my temp was @97 after that.
