@mmmfood, yes, doing somatic experiencing therapy helped me tremendously. I discovered that the constant gnawing feeling in the pit of my stomach that i had always thought was hunger, and had fed literally till I was ill from bingeing, was not hunger, it was stored trauma. The therapy healed the trauma and that feeling left for good, and I never binged again. Completely liberating feeling. It also gave me tools for managing stress. I could go to my “happy place” when I was feeling overwhelmed by circumstances in my life and breathe through it, rather than trying to numb it with food or distractions. How has it gone for you?

Today marks the end of week 4 RRARF’ing. I’ve decided to end the experiment here and revisit HCG, which is what I was doing prior to trying this. Here’s a blog entry with my thoughts on my last month’s experience if you’re interested. I will be vlogging about HCG on my YT channel now, so if you’re not interested, I recommend you unsubscribe. :) http://islandsneezer.wordpress.com/2013/12/30/final-rrarf-update/

I’ve been down with a bad head cold & cough… Not eating as much die to the phlegm overload… Doing my best… Temps are lower this week with my period and being sick but I’m sweating a lot more… Could the sweating be dropping my temp on me? How do I counteract that? I’ve never sweated much prior to RRARF’ing…

    Hi Della,

No, not that I’m aware of. I drink to thirst. Last night I drank about 750 mls in the evening and had four slices of toast with butter and cinnamon sugar because I was extra thirsty and hungry… Interesting to note my period started this morning, about 5 days earlier than I expected.

Cindy, I also wrote a blog account that answers that question specifically. http://islandsneezer.wordpress.com

This is my personal collection of recipes, our family has lots of allergies so I’ve had to adapt some of them to fit our needs… they are a mix of comfort food (mac & cheese, lasagna, creamy soups, curries), uber healthy (kale, quinoa, vegetarian), and sweets (best bailey’s cheesecake you’ll ever eat, no-bake cookies to diet for, decadent wheat free brownies).

    I’m two weeks into RRARF’ing…

I’ve been low carbing (with loads of sugar/starch cheating) & the HCG Protocol on & off for the past 2.5 years. Before that I did a 5 month candida cleanse and was unable to reintroduce wheat back into my diet without severe double-me-over excruciating pain. I’ve been wheat free for almost 3 years now. Last night I intentionally tried wheat for the first time in years and was surprised to find I’ve had no pain yet… interesting…

Other good improvements, my body temp was as low as 92 at night the first week, and now I’ve had two nights in the last week where it was over 98…

Less heartburn, better bowel movements, better sleep (for a few nights anyway, I’ll take what I can get, being a chronic insomniac!), no cravings…

I’m still having terrible hayfever allergies, congestion, and hormone fluctuations causing severe mood swings. Hoping those improve over time.

Oddly enough, I’ve gained weight, but people keep asking if I’ve LOST weight. LOL

I would glug the nastiest tasting (and texture!) concoction of cranberry juice and berry flavored rice protein powder. I was vegetarian for three years and felt it was the only way I could get enough protein in my diet.

In my early teens my mom put me on weight watchers and I’d eat plain yogourt (healthy!) mixed with sugar free aspartame-crap vanilla pudding mix (not so healthy!) and let it “set” overnight. I’d eat it topped with canned unsweetened pineapple chunks. That one was actually quite tasty… but strange too…

Just seeing the additional responses now. Yesterday I was really in the mood for white chocolate and made a batch of white chocolate candy cane fudge. I’ve been eating it whenever I it want over the past two days. I’ve also added dr pepper… The other food I’m eating is what I enjoy… I’m not purposely restricting anything… I did find the eggs and bacon too heavy in the morning and just had a bagel this morning…

I will say I’ve suddenly noticed some dramatic health improvements… I listed more deets on my blog if you’re interested… http://islandsneezer.wordpress.com
