I tried googling to find testimonies around the ‘net, too, but didn’t have much luck.

I was watching this post because I was considering working with them as well, but I think I’ve decided the cost is really beyond what we can spend right now. I would love to know more about your experience, Anna. :) My email is (ga steph 7 @g mail . com) without any spaces.

Oh, cool! I’m guessing the milk diet won’t be so high on the list, since it didn’t go so well for him. :o)

Yes, I’ve been reading Matt’s diabetes book (it’s excellent, of course, ha), and he says to stay away from, or at least minimize, the following: refined flours, refined sugars, and vegetable oils. And fructose seems to be a particular problem with diabetics, so some people might even avoid all fructose for a time in order to heal. Oh, and alcohol and caffeine are not good for diabetics either. This is all referring to Type 2.

I think the whole RBTI thing threw me off, and I started pigging out on junk. I need to get back to natural foods again.

Oh, I just glanced upthread and I was stressing a bit. I think I’ve come around to realizing it won’t be so bad after all. :o)

Mmm, coffee panna cotta sounds amazing! But Great Lakes makes both beef and pork gelatin. Would you use the pork gelatin?

Giving up pork was part of RBTI, and then when he added it back in he noticed he was getting chest pains. That happened a few times. So he’s pretty much staying away from pork now. But I wasn’t sure if that would include gelatin as well, although it seems like it would.

I bought a pile of Great Lakes porcine (pork) gelatin before the whole RBTI thing, and I know Matt is staying away from pork in general now. I’m wondering if I should use it or not. Anyone have any opinions? WWMD? LOL

Oh, I forgot that Matt had a diabetes book. I’ve skimmed over it, and it looks like he does recommend cutting way back on refined sugar and refined flour. Matt, do you still agree with everything in that book (it was several years ago now)? The thought of no refined sugar or flour is causing me to stress about going on a restrictive diet again. And does refined sugar include brown sugar, maple syrup, etc. Ugh

I gave it a bit of a try. Breathing through my nose instead of my mouth was very good, and I’ve continued that. And sitting up straight, which is also good for alignment, is good. I think Matt mentioned once that the slower breathing goes towards slowing metabolism, though. I didn’t do very well at making that a regular practice anyway.

So, it helped me a bit, but didn’t heal my asthma. Following Matt over a few years now has done a lot more for my asthma. :o)
