AnnaB what you are saying makes sense to me, especially since it occurs most often at breakfast, or when I push my lunch out further than expected. So if that was the case my basal temps would really be lower than what they are reading due to the adrenaline?

I am really bad, I take my temp during, 10 min after, then at 30 and 60 min. It fascinates me.

    @Dutchie
I have only introduced grains back into my life since starting here as I had problems with them previously. @esb I would rather not restrict again either, however maybe it would help in the short term until temps rise further, resulting in a higher tolerance to grains/dairy???

I will give it a go and see what happens…

Finally! ;) Thank you for your reply.

I have read all Matts books and am familiar with warming and cooling foods. It’s just that when I eat weet-bix with raw milk & loads of honey for breakfast, followed usually by some toast (spelt sourdough with no extras) with fried eggs & cheese, my temps drop to 35.7-35.9.

Do you think temps can drop in response to foods our bodies are not used to or do not like?

Stress and rest are dialed. I changed jobs to reduce the stress and also the amount of time I spend there, so that its easier to get my rest. The emotional and psychological road is what I’m venturing into now with the vibrational medicine lady.

It’s really hard for me to swallow that there could be any emotional or psychological reasoning for not being able to reproduce.

Thank you so much for your ideas, it’s much appreciated.

I have been using an eye mask for about a year and a half, taking it off on day 14 – 17, no luck but now I can’t sleep without it. Is the eye mask the same as a darkened room? I have often thought the pressure on my eyes may change the outcome, either that or I am digging too deep.

    Thanks!

The temp you reach before lunch, I don’t even reach at the end of the day :)

I would enjoy hearing about this also. I have not been ovulating either and my charts have been doing some strange stuff, however my temperatures seem more consistent.

Yes I have been charting for 2 years with Fertility Friend. Sometimes I ovulate and sometimes I don’t, majoritively the latter. My luteal phase is 11 days from what I can gather and my temps in this phase rise to about 36.4-36.8, if I ovulate.

I seem to have tried everything, chiropractors, naturopaths, doctors, iridologists, potions, cleanses, eating regimes – low carb, GAPS, now 180. I’m now even seeing a lady who does vibrational medicine.

I really never wanted to go down the road of hormonal creams, synthetically pumped hormones or IVF. My philosophy being, if you are not functioning optimally naturally then you are not fit to reproduce – Survival of the fittest!

I guess my tune has changed now that I’m sitting in the hot seat.

Finngarian, are you saying that the hot flashes are a good thing? I’m not completely taxing my adrenals? I keep trying to catch my flash with the thermometer but haven’t been able to. My hot flash frequency has eased up making it a bit harder. I will report back if I can catch it…

    Thank you for your reply.

My basal temps usually sit anywhere from 36.0 – 36.3, with 36.1 being the average. Since refeeding nothing has changed in regards to my temperatures, other than they look more consistent on graph, which is a good thing. I am just worried that the high carbs are causing my adrenals to work overtime, hence the hot flashes – this would show on graph though so a tad confused why the hot flashes???

Other than that, libido is back, however feel exhausted, put on 10kg and having bad lower back problems in response to the weight gain.

It doesn’t seem to matter what you do there are positives and negatives.

I just wish I could work this out as I am trying desperately to have a baby…16 months and still trying and not getting any younger.

Oh! I have also started getting hot flashes, especially after eating gummy lollies. Which up until a couple of weeks ago I had been avoiding, trying to stick to the natural stuff mostly in the form of dried fruit.

Thanks Saisrice. I basically feel like a sexed up zombie at the moment. My libido has kicked in but my energy levels are floored. I went for a 20 min casual stroll yesterday, sat down on the couch, only to wake up an hour later.

I have low stress in my life and sleep heaps. I drink mostly bone broth and raw milk. I have always craved tons of salt and have even upped my intake so much that Im getting complaints at the dinner table – it tastes completely normal to me.

However, I do tend to get extremely thirsty at around 7-8 pm, nothing seems to quench it other than water. Do you think I should try not to drink the water even know I feel like I’m going to die? Maybe just have some milk or something and see how it goes?

    What would you recommend?

    Thanks!

    Thanks yet again.

I did an introduction phase of 3 weeks and have now been on it full tilt for the last 4 weeks…with no shift in basal body temperature. I’m gathering by your response above that this is not normal.

Back to the good old drawing board I guess.

    Thanks!

Thanks heaps for your reply. I was starving first thing in the morning but was too sick to drag my ass down stairs to make something. Got your reply at midday so decided to get on it. Didn’t make my usual 3000, did around 2000. Fever was roaring. Was craving ice cream, been avoiding the crap laden stuff, succumbed in my weakened state. Instantly my headache went away which was the best thing to happen since the bugs got the best of me.

    Thank you!
