Holy cow j-lo, thank you for sharing this.
I’ve been having digestive problems since I started re-feeding. Too many carbs or sugars would give me acid-reflux. So even when I wanted to sugar or carbs, it would come back to bite me a couple hours later. Tried ACV, mastic gum and betaine HCl, but nothing helped that much and it was always dicey because sometimes it would get much worse afterwards. Got to the point that I haven’t drank much alcohol in the last couple months cause it was the worst for acid reflux. Pretty alienating for a college student.
Anyways, I read your response and started at it. Put 1/4 cup of sugar in milk and drank it. At first it helped but then the reflux would come on again, so I’d make another. I thought I’ll just keep at it and if it gets too bad, I could always take an antacid. After about two days it just started helping and now I drink 1/2 cup of brown sugar (best tasting to me) in a glass of milk 2-5 times a day. Now for the first time in 5 years my tongue is consistently looking pink and healthy. The only time it started to get a coating in the back was last night because I went mountain biking and worked my ass off, but sugar helped it.
Who knows how I wrecked my metabolism. I’ve symptoms of low metabolism as long as I can remember, but I felt energetic as a kid. I always ate enough because I couldn’t go long without food. The healthier I ate the worse I felt over the course of three years. Then I got tired of putting time and effort into being healthy, when it wasn’t paying off. Then I found Matt Stone, and started eating whatever I wanted as much of what I wanted. I have put 55 pounds in the last year, but little of it is body fat. That might me because I never have dieted?
Yeah, I think it’s going to take a little bit before you temperatures start stabilizing. I’ve been raising my metabolism for about a year now, and I still wake up in the low 97’s. My general feeling of being warm however, is very good. Usually I’m one of the warmer people in the room. Just make sure you’re eating enough, and eating whatever you want. Things will start working better soon
I also second gummy bears, I am always in the mood for those things. Thinking about it now, I might have to get a kit-kat Bar tomorrow
Not very high fat in the diet, but I’ll eat a bunch of dairy fat throughout the day. I’m thinking it is a phase, but it was brought on by aspirin. Haven’t taken any of that in weeks and sexual function is much better. Another thing I didn’t think about was I got a pretty bad case of strep throat about three weeks ago, and I was on penicillin for 10 days.
As long as I’m getting enough sleep now, my erections are great. Guess I can’t be ready to go all of the time (which I know) but it hasn’t happened to me before, so i thought I’d post about it.
Okay folks, I’ve been taking aspirin for a while and I’ve decided to quit. At first it made me feel warmer and seemed pretty good, but this last month or so my sex drive has tanked, so I decided to ditch the aspirin. It seemed to coincide with my aspirin intake.
I’ve still been pretty horny, but for the first time in my life I was horny and in bed with a chick and I couldn’t get hard. It was weird and it sucked. After that though we fooled around for a bit then I ate some chocolate cake and a quesadilla and after that I was good to go. But in general, my boners haven’t been to good. It might be the aspirin, but I don’t see why I should keep using it anyway. Hopefully this is just a phase because everything else is doing great. I’m warm (sometimes t-shirts in 40-50 deg weather), good energy (pulled a couple all nighters cause I was having a lot of fun) and still think I’m horny, just not much life in the old wiener.
yeah that makes sense. A big part of raising my metabolism is finally recognizing when my body is stressed out. I might not feel stressed out, but I can tell that my body is. I assume that as our metabolisms heal, that stress wont release the stink as quickly.
Not much help with cellulite, but I have sweated a lot from my pits. I now know that it is a stress response (how I could be on the cold side and still sweating from my pits) but it wasn’t until I tried vegetarianism that the stink came on. It was horrible too, like still smell it in the shower as I’m washing my pits. Stuck with me as my metabolism got worse (2.5 years). Been eating for heat for about 9 months now and these last 3 months have been the most stink-free I’ve been in a long time. A shower and deodorant lasts me the whole day now!
I’d say stick with it because my temps aren’t even as high as yours right now (never below 97f now). It very well could be hormones because I’ve always had messed up hormones. I’m also eating more junk food then I have in my whole life. Mostly candy and pop, but I still stay mostly away from doughnuts and such (because I never feel like eating them or the PUFAs, not sure)
I’ve never been one to brush that consistently, and I haven’t had many tooth problems with my adult teeth (my kid teeth though had some cavities). Recently though, right at the gumline of one of my upper fangs I got a very noticeable cavity that hurts when I stick my fingernail in it. I guess I’ll have to get back in the old brushing routine until my metabolism gets back to snuff.
I haven’t had a cavity until I started eating sugar again, which sucks because now everyone says, “I told you so!” But enough other stuff is getting better so I can’t complain. Also my tongue is getting more and more pink, which is more than I can say for the last couple years.
@Cody – Yeah i’m pretty sure I was breastfed.
Yeah, in most of the old westerns they would kick back 5 shots in one scene. And they would be constantly drinking the entire movie.
I don’t drink as often as I used to, but a drink or two does seem to ease the shakiness.
It’s not a problem, I just have always liked to hold things out at an arms length and see how steady my hands are. Sometimes they are bad, so maybe something is just stressing out at the time.
Holy flashback Crinkley! I swear if I was a black man wearing a cowboy outfit, that video was exactly like that night, at least from what I remember.
Doesn’t seem like we have any takers for aspirin on here yet.
I’ve been taking around 1-2 grams a day for two months now and it seems to be working for me. I usually take 1-2 pills with breakfast, lunch and dinner. I read about some people thinking 1/2 a pill is too much, but I don’t feel 6 pills a day is excessive at all. Growing up, I had friends who ate way more than that consistently, especially when we would be snowboarding for days on end, so personally it doesn’t bother me.
When I first started taking it, it made me relaxed, tired and gave me low levels of pain and inflammation. It pretty much felt similar to when I jacked my calorie intake up at first. That right there made me like it. It doesn’t give me inflammation anymore, but it never seems to help with any pain. The biggest reason I like it is because it has helped me stay warm consistently, especially in the mornings (my worst time). Peat says it is a powerful aromatase inhibitor and thats what originally got me to try it out.
I think I have a solution Ashley, I just need to see some pictures of you walking around the house in your bra just to be sure.
I know what you mean about heat though. I work as a baker and these last couple weeks have been 90+ degrees all day long. I can’t handle that much water without getting tired of drinking so much, but I’ll bring 2 qts of oj and a qt of chocolate milk for the day. Then I bring kool-aid mix or powerade mix in case I run out which has been happening.
Heck yeah, if its good enough for a goat, it’s good enough for me. It would be nice to have some protection sometimes so I’ll have to try it out. Also, people always look better when they are all oiled up.
