Aside from the Gaia product what to you do to manage the stress and try to allow the adrenals to heal/recover?

There is no “best” I would base it on your conditioning level and strength. Intervals are usually done on work:recovery 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, 1:4. So start with 30 secs work and 2 mins rest 1:4 get done your work out and too tired…not tired enough and change it. Wanna do 1 min work…go ahead and do it and adjust your work rest ratio as needed and number or sets/ reps/cycles as you want.

Consider ZMA…Zinc, Magnesium and B6(I think).

High levels of stress, mental, emotional, physical, lack of sleep, etc can all contribute to high cortisol…esp if no recovery.

Pavel tsatsouline has concepts that can work. Dan John has a 40 day work out program that is solid too.

I have no experience with eating disorders either.

Perhaps try a food log for a bit(or not). Matt suggested in Recovery II (I think) 3 meals a day, eat to full and if hungry 2 hours later eat again and then eat your 3rd meal when hungry later on and gradually adjust from there. Just a thought.

Stress can be your metabolism killer.

Get naps when you can. Meditate 2 times a day for 5-15 mins may help.

I don’t have the answers as I am still working things out. I’m an ER nurse that works nights. I know stress and do what I can to mitigate it…it’s a toughie for sure.

I’d suggest Dan Johns book Mass Made Easy I think it is called. Not sure it gives a gram or % expectation but it should help/ be a worthwhile read.
