Another inconvenience of a High Metabolism – being so much hotter than your family that you are constantly sweating and inching the heat down while they are covered in blankets and sneaking the heat back up! We’re working on it :P

The same thing happened to me. Previously around 97.8 before ovulation and 98.3 afterward. I just treated it as two charts.
After about 3 months, however, my pre-ovulation temps finally rose above 98 (avg. 98.04). It actually caught me off guard because they didn’t drop enough for me to be prepared for my cycle LOL!

I think it’s a slow process to get your temps right, and for women it takes even longer because you have to keep switching back and forth to accurately see a pattern.

Are you temping? If you follow your temps they normally go like this:

The first two weeks of your cycle should be lowered temps. When you ovulate your temp should jump about a half degree and stay elevated until your period starts again and then it drops back down a half degree.

I average 97.7 before ovulation and 98.2 after

(it’s sort of nice because it’s an early warning system that the blood bath is coming that day….)

Maybe your temps are still normalizing and your hormones don’t know what to do? But if your temp is jumping in between periods, you should be ovulating.

Edited to add, if you are sexually active, that can affect your cycle too (not much but noticeable) – at the risk of TMI, my period often starts the morning after sex (if it’s already due within a few days). Something about semen and orgasming containing some hormone or something that I can’t seem to find on google right now.

Are you female? I’ve noticed that in certain times of my cycle, I get crazy hungry. Specifically around ovulation. I could eat the world lol!

    Ashley – happy birthday :)

Cindy – I’ve been about 2 weeks too and I’m so tired all the time. I think on GoKaleo she said that being tired at first is your cells repairing themselves so your body wants to conserve energy. But she also said give it about a month.

It could depend on where you are in your cycle too – I know that there’s always 1-2 days that I can’t keep my eyes open and when I look at the calendar, it’s always the same days every month lol

I wanted to update my own thread.
I am feeling fan-freaking-tastic! It might be the newness, but I feel like going off vegetarianism is the best thing I could have done.

This morning my temp was 98.08 and yesterday I had so much energy and joy. My digestive system is slowly revving up (after having chronic constipation my entire life).

I feel really good. I am interested in cooking again and I hope this will be the thing to finally take the edge off my anxiety.

    Woo!
