This article is obviously meritless. I posted the link to show that their are reputable institutions that recognize common sense, i.e. sugar is not some evil villain out to destroy.

Holy shit. I’ve had this almost my whole life, and all I have to say is good luck. I was in one of the food Nazi camps. I will say a paleo diet did clear up the body psoriasis, but absolutely nothing clears up the scalp psoriasis other than washing my hair every day. Some might think this seems natural to wash the hair every day, but I’m ethnic, and my hair really doesn’t need to be washed but every couple weeks. Natural oils are good for the hair and protect it. So I just wash my hair, and have to put fucking product in it to keep it from being frizzy, and dry as hell.

I bought some mercury thermometers months ago. The mercury is stuck on the bottom and I can’t get at it! I’ve already broken like 3 trying to “flick it”. It will not budge. What’s the deal?

@MikeJ look into this product, http://www.amazon.com/Renew-Life-Cleanse-More-Caps/dp/B001B7HXCY/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1374094096&sr=8-3&keywords=cleansemore

I worked at a health food store for a number of years so I know about 1,000’s of supplements, and have tried many myself, as well as feedback from people.

Just so people know you do not have to get “high” from marijuana. It is an herb just like Valerian, California Poppy, Skullcap, etc. You can actually get a tincture strain THC specific, or ingest through a vaporizer that will not leave you feeling “stoned”. Their is a lot of misinformation about the hemp plant, due to overt smear campaigns created by the government during the 40’s that slandered this amazing plant.

Another note. Men often ask me for advice on their girlfriends/wives. One of the biggest complaints being how come she won’t put out? My advice……

If your gf is not putting out, is bitchy, and complaining…..GIVE HER WHATEVER THE FUCK she wants!!!! Woman act like this because they are TIRED, and stressed out. A woman’s body is not like a man’s body. A woman’s endocrine system is more sensitive to stress.

Trust me a woman who is happy, and healthy is a woman who is puttin’ out. So help with the damn dishes, rub her feet, take an errand off her hands, pick dinner up for her.

Soooooo maybe, if your husband shuts the fuck up, and helps you with those kids, the sooner you can have your PRE-STRESSEDTHEFUCKOUT body back.

I’m trying really hard not to go off the handle here, but I’m trying to have a 360 point of view here ;)

Your husband is of course entitled to his opinion. Unfortunately, his opinion only serves to clarify his lack of maturity. How old are you both? Are you both European? I do see it slightly differently if your husband is in fact European. We can’t expect the same social norms from other cultures.

Human beings are aesthetically inclined creatures by nature. That being said most human being arguably reach their fertility peak somewhere in early adulthood, this then creates the framework for a biological aesthetic preference for this look. Men are even more inclined to be focused on aesthetics!

Only through knowledge, life experience, compassion, and understanding can humans rise above our biological primitive default to see other “colors” of a person’s beauty.

Medicinal marijuana. It gets a ridiculously bad rap, but the advancements in medical marijuana are so great now. If you can find a good doctor who prescribes it, you can look for specific strains to help. For example, indica strains are well known for creating a deep calm, and relaxation. It’s commonly prescribed for insomnia. I live in Northern Cali, so I think I naturally have a little more progressive viewpoint, but it’s actually one the greatest plants ever given to the earth.

I’m with you Mike J. I mean eating the food does some good things, but it also has negative consequences. I think this site is like virtually every other health blog out there. You’re going to have people who do really well, and some who do not, and a bunch of fanatics who swear “you’re just not doing it right!”. I think whichever one of these sites you are brought to is just a culmination of your experiences up until that moment. People want to feel better. They will continue to seek out information, people, places, and things until they get there.

No I still eat sugar. It just depends. Right now I don’t have a job so it’s easy for me to get away with eating whatever the hell I want without much acne. But as long as I’ve had a job, any sort of sugary drinks or a lot refined carbs would break me out. Now I just eat whatever the hell I want. My skin still breaks out a little bit, but I don’t give a shit anymore, I guess because I know how to control it so well. I know that if I wanted to tomorrow I could change the way I eat and have 100 percent clear skin in 2 weeks. It was actually those shackles that chained me a low carb diet for so long.

@Thomas to control my acne? Honestly I just control my inflammation.

@theRealAmy This is related because sugar/insulin is the single biggest factor besides stress at controlling your inflammation. It’s the reason so many people here started low carb diets. You get immediate results because reducing your insulin levels rapidly reduces all other inflammation in the body, including acne.

The reason women have breakouts during their period is because the sex hormones are at their lowest point during the entire cycle. The adrenals have to adjust accordingly, and produce the shortage of progesterone, and estrogen, as well as make up for the multitude of functions these hormones produce. Thus, they aren’t as effective at regulating blood sugar levels.

Basically whatever stresses my adrenals the most cause breakout’s for me.
Excessive sugar, lots of refined flour, excessive working out, emotional stress, etc.

Their aren’t many things you can control in life, but what you put in your mouth is one of the easiest.

Acne is an inflammatory condition. The fastest way to control it is through your insulin levels. This actually isn’t far off from taking prescription medicine. Although effective, long term results can be very unpleasant.
