Well hey, I’m?a newbie at this – but a?lot of people wanted to kind of know how the testing is done. The testing is pretty easy. What’s hard is getting a proper interpretation, especially with the urea numbers – which, on my own, I never would have figured to be a 7/10 as shown in the video. But for those wondering how the hell to do the test, this is a good place to get familiar.
One thing the video failed to show was the proper sound to make when looking through the refractometer.?Looking?at your urine through a refractometer makes?you a “Pee Pee Pirate” by default. Thus, you should make a sound like, “Garrr” or “Arrrggghh” when looking through it. Lord knows I always do.

Do you think kombucha tea would be on the no list? I was thinking that might be harder to give up than chocolate. We make our own… and I'm wondering how alcoholic it is, bcoz my daughter seems to be addicted. I keep finding her hiding in the pantry drinking it (here's to you, Mrs Robinson).
What about taro/poi? If we give up potatoes, we need something to replace them with. Thanks to you, Matt, I now panic at the idea of meals without massive quantities of potatoey starch. Taro would fit the bill!

It was mentioned by Pippa that the best time to test is between 11:00
and 12:00 noon.
I have read that one shouldn't eat or drink anything 2 hours prior to the test. If this is correct, how does one continue on the lemon water protocol?

The best time to test is 2 hours after your meal. To get the best accurate result for the saliva test it is best not to drink half an hour before the test.

It is sometimes difficult to see what the result is of the pH tests because the colors in the color cards are very similar in some cards. Therefore I also use one or two other PH reagents to compare to make it more clear.
I have also seen this on a European RBTI site.
The best time to test is 2 hours after your meal.
I missed the baking soda for neutralizing the acids in the UREA reagents especially the Nitrate Nitrogen. It could be that they did not record it.

As for checking the saliva, I spit in a cup and use a pipette to get a drop of the saliva in the well plate. This way the spit does not end up in the other holes. Like Pippa said, it is not a pretty way to do it like that.
I missed the Albumin / Cell debris test. This is the 5th number of the equation. It is about how many particles there are in the urine. Sometime that is very difficult to see but if you stir in the cup with a pipette and hold the cup before a flash light or window you can see some.

Challen said that the albumin count is always 4M unless you have gotten your numbers very close to perfect after many months or even years on the program. Less than 4M is a rare event.

You only test once every 2 weeks. I'm sure you could do it on a day off. Challen thinks it's important not to change your program around more often that once every 2 weeks, generally-speaking. Not enough regularity for the body to chase the numbers around in smaller intervals.

Well, it is once every 2 weeks. It could be worse. Although some get pretty obsessive with the refractomter.
Drinking before the test-
Maintain normal drinking and eating schedules and try to test between 11 and 12am. You can still test at other times but that is the best if you had to pick.
Best video on RBTI testing that I’ve found. I watch every time I attempt to test. Would like to see the salt tested though. Hope you both are doing well.

Ok,here is more random spunk I have been dreaming about.me and my brother yrs back were thinking that the way to optimal health is thru vit/min testing and then supplementing with whats needed until tests show normal.Not just a VitD bonanza like every guru is onto these days but more a complete test and supplement program.At the time I did not have the money and he had a hard time parting with the $350.00 dollars for the initial test.recently I read of some guy from I think Norway that is doing just that….making people exceptionally healthy by testing and then dosing to bring body into balance.
I don't know if you read my post awhile back about dark skinned and light skinned people and just plain old vitD.This is just one example of how different people in one location like NYC can differ in their VitD levels.Could be that white people are over dosing on vitD with the milk consumption and the stronger sun compared to say their native England or Ireland.I feel this would make health outstanding coupled with this RBTI and balance of the bodies PH,salt and sugar levels.But I must say that there has to be an easier way.
Also,I find it hilarious how RBTI is so close to a saltwater tank with amonium,nitrate,nitrite,PH etc.

In your opinion, if hypoglycemia is a result of adrenal fatigue, will the RBTI diet still be able to help correct it quickly even if the adrenals aren't all healed up yet?
I am starting RBTI for adrenal fatigue and my gnarliest problem with it at this point is the insane hypoglycemia. I want it better like last week! It's making me a little crazy.

The Hanna Dist 4 conductivity meter of the video you can put into the urine. The meter gives a reading in mS. To get a reading in C you devide it by .7
There are other meters where you put a few drops of the urine in the meter and the meter gives a number in mS.
I found the book of Dr. Beddoe very helpfull: Biologic Ionization as applied to human nutrition
you can write the numbers as follow: e.g.
1.5 6.4/6.4 6-7c .04M 3/3
the pH's you fill in with the pH of the urine at the top and under the pH of the saliva. The Urea numbers you can write down the same manner (nitrate nr at the top and the ammonia nr. at the bottom)
If you help e.g. a client you write above the equation the age, height, weight, occupation and religion and race.

Not sure this is the right place to post this but it is RBTI-related and as The Riddler once said to Batman ?Too many questions? (come on Batman Forever is not THAT bad actually!).
So first day of my high-fruits/candida-bashing diet. Not a very sweet tooth and big on dairies so not easy for me; I feel light-headed. I try to combine what you and other say about fat/sugar in relation to candida and your new finding about RBTI/no carbs after 2pm.
-So for this anti-candida diet that would mean breakfast and lunch made of fruits, but then no carbs for dinner right?
-Can the dinner be made of veggie + protein and a little fat then? Like homemade chicken broth + whole milk kefir; or green veggies + a bit of butter/cheese/cream? Or does it have to be fruit at 3 meals for a while (despite RBTI)?
-Can the diet be a mix of fruit and starch? Like fruit for breakfast and potatoes for lunch or does it have to be fruit only?
-Then what to do as maintenance program to stop candida from coming back? Is it safe to go back to carbs +fat as long as more carbs in the morning and less in the evening? Because I’m French and cannot survive for long without cream, butter and cheese. Plus potatoes with no butter?Yak!

Maybe RBTI can tell what a particular diet does to a body.Would love to see month long tests of a VLC diet and what happens to the readings.Same with the SAD and the fruitarian.
I am noticing some strange stuff being on different diets.One that just hit me yesterday is how fruit all morning long makes me a nervous and jittery mess without a drop of caffeine.I work like a workhorse,feel amazing,weightloss is good but I wake up everyday looking old and worn.Then contrast that with VLC high fat where I work like crap,feel great when not moving,weightloss is nothing to brag about but I wake up every single day looking younger.Its so strong in my body that I do not cut the protein down to low since I hate being proofed and called a kid by my co-workers.Yes its jealousy since the other 40 yr olds are all greyed out and stay home while I live a life that should have me looking haggard.
So what is the reason for the need of high dose caffeine when VLC and a jittery feeling and just top energy when high carb….I believe high carb makes you run on full cylinders but will run you down fast duet to adrenaline being output like crazy.I know thats opposite to what is said around here(that VLC burns your adrenaline gland out)but its not what I experience.Explains why these fruitarians all look hyper and strung out…..and MUST ride bikes for miles on end.Heck "The Fruitarian" guy has a video on Youtube where he just finished running up and down a mountain for 7hrs straight.Makes a balanced diet seem like its best IMO.
I really, really want to start RBTI but I have one major concern. I am wondering if people tend to gain a lot of weight if their numbers indicate that they should be on the sweetened lemon water and juice protocol. That seems like a lot of sugar. I just can't face gaining any more weight when I've been struggling to lose with no progress for over a year. I know this shouldn't be such a big deal, since I have some significant health issues that could benefit from RBTI, but I just can't help worrying about it. Any thoughts Matt and RBTI folks?

If you stick with the program and are overweight you will loose weight. RBTI is known for that. However if you are underweight, you will gain weight.
The hardest problem I've had is with my pH and I can't seem to figure it out!
I use the bromthemol blue and when I add a drop of urine it instantly turns orange, which is not on the card. So I used all the other indicators and there's never that color on the card – they turn either wine red or dark blue. The pH paper says around 5.5 but I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.
Other than that, I'm having a lot of fun with it! It's back to high school science class.

Having gotten my test kit it is really nice to be able to come on here and watch you guys do this as an example. The instructions that come with the kit are good, but it is great to get some confirmation on it as well.
