Awesomeness!! Grabbing it at Amazon now!
Speaking of being vegan. There is a guy on youtube named Dr Robert Morse. I’ve watched a few videos. He’s really on the edge. Not sure if positive or negative. Matt, have you looked into this guy and his health claims. Reading about your adventures with Challen Waychoffe (spelling?) were very informative as well as entertaining. This guy seems like he’s just as informative/entertaining as Challen. Maybe I missed him in your “health gurus” column from a few posts ago.
Congratulations Matt. Great write-up. And making peace with vegans can only be a good sign of peaceful things to come. Now if only Anthony Bourdain could reach out to them…
Next, Matt, please. It’s time for a troubleshooting guide with RRARF! I, like a lot of your followers, went over and above a ‘set’ weight and it’s not budging. You invoke Ancel Keyes’ starvation study, but food and eating habits were still pretty ‘real’ then and he only starved them 6-8 months (?). What about 5 yrs+ low-carbing type of starvation surrounded by crappy food. If their recovery time was about 18 mos, what about ours? Should it be proportional?
I saw myself on a video the other day and boy I do not feel like I apparently look. I also discuss food education in academia (sharing similar philosophy with you), and how can I be taken seriously looking way over weight. I will say, my face looks ideal on film, but my body sure doesn’t match. Maybe this is the over-compensation period from too many years starving on low-carb (I’m 44), but I sure need to understand what’s happening now. Is this still progress?
I would also love a troubleshooting guide!
Purchased! Sounds awesome, can’t wait to read it.
